IWK - IC 325.1 - MRSA Screening & Management in Ambulatory & Inpatient Care Settings

Description

 All inpatients known to be colonized or infected with Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) will be managed with appropriate infection control measures. All inpatients known to be colonized or infected with Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) will be managed with appropriate infection control measures. Patients colonized or infected with MRSA may act as reservoirs for transmission of MRSA to other patients.  The spread of MRSA can be interrupted through the use of appropriate infection control procedures.
